Jas felt her eyes narrow against the wind. It was going to either snow or rain soon, and she couldn't tell which. She shifted her head down, making her hair fall down to cover her face. She closed her eyes tight, trying to remember what a mare this morning told her. Something about things in the shadows. Jas huffed, watching it go cold against the air.

She finally just gave up on finding someone, turning to duck into a small shelter she'd found earlier. A rock formed one wall, and a few trees had fallen over, making the other side. She had just put a hoof in when she smelled someone else. It smelled like horse. She hoped it was horse.

Kade's eyes flickered open. He'd been out it looked like for days...He wasn't sure what to think of his surrounding. He couldn't feel the energy of Alavara under him anymore..this place was dangerous. A place of secrets and other things many would panic at the sight of. But he...he'd seen war, death and many other thing to not be named. It had caused his heart to grow cold, and hard. He was a good person, but he'd closed himself to the world. Loosing all trust to anyone he'd trusted before other than his son. After finding his whole herd killed and mate murdered. Now he roams with no purpose...some say he's looking for his son. Others aren't sure who the stranger is...

"Hello?" Jas's voice had a slight tentativeness in it. She'd been betrayed by others her whole life. Making her run here. "Hello?" She tried to make her voice sound more sure of it's self. But it wasn't working.
"Is anyone there?"

Kade got himself up, bleeding a little he noticed, but it was nothing worth worrying about. He walked carefully, legs slightly wobbly, then he heard a noise. Ears perked, he looked in the direction it came from. Nothing could be seen, as his eyes were hazy still, but quickly gathered themselves again to focus once more. Walking tentively in that direction, following the voice he didn't utter a sound yet. one ear forward and one ear back, listening. Then he heard it again! He quickened his pace to a trot. "Yes?" he said at the third question coming from what he now recognized as another's voice.

Jas stopped at the sight of the stallion. She tried to tell her heart to calm down. Your safe. It was just a horse. "Hi." She tried to raise her body, standing taller. She felt an odd beat of silence. "You okay? You look a little beat up."
Something about him seemed off. But she'd learned a long time ago to not question things. Horses had their reasons for doing what they did, and asking tended to get you ran off.

"Fine, nothing to worry about. Your the one who looks like you've seen better days..." he said judged by her dirty coat, and seemed like she ran quite often. He looked around, still keeping some distance from her, but she seems rather harmless. But also she didn't know that he could change shape at will. Something chilled his spine, it was getting darker, and as the night came his uneasiness grew more and more.
