Strange Beginnings

Demi looked around...the place somewhat looked like a waste.. How did she get there? Where was Lyric? From being friends for many years, they had gone in search of her son who had wandered off. But this place, it held secrets like no other. It reminded her the early days of Alavara, and also the dark times that had spanned many hundreds of years. Through the rule of evil kings and those who were only hungry for power. She was grateful that her coat would somewhat blend around with the surroundings. The ground beneath her was soft and wet...mud obviously. She looked further into the white smoke to reveal a darkened lake. Her steps were taken cautiously. Trees looked burnt, but she did notice she was on the outer rims of the land. Thankful for her breed's sure footing, walking around wasn't too hard on the rocky ground surrounding the lake. She didn't hear another soul. Not even the dried leaves rustled, but yet she felt a breeze. She felt watched however...

Demi's ears perked, "huh?" she said, head snapping in his direction. She saw something dark in the shadows as the night was falling. "Who are you?" she called boldly, not scared, but concerned for her well being. Demi's mane fell to her shoulder and she flicked her tail, ready to run at a moment's notice.

Demi flicked an ear, "Why would you kill me?" she said, of course she wasn't from there, she'd wandered there and well...not sure what to do next. He didn't seem harmful, but still... Never hurt for her to keep up her guard. She should be grateful...he seemed friendly, understood the land and might give her some safe shelter to figure out and learn about the new place she guessed she was calling home.
